Praktek Komunikasi Antar Budaya Para Perantau Minangkabau Di Jakarta
Abstract
Minangkabau people are well known as one of imigrants ethnics in Indonesia. They migrate to all over the country and also to overseas such as to Malaysia. This discussion is on how Minangkabau people make decision why they leave their country for migrating to other region in as well as out of the nation. This paper will stress on th process of migration and the communicatioon strategy makes by the migrants in order to adjust and live with other ethnics/cultures where they stay. Minangkabau is sociable people, they can communicate with other people from other cultures easily.

ABSTRAK
Orang Minangkabau terkenal sebagai salah satu suku bangsa yang suka bermigrasi dari dulu. Mereka merantau ke seluruh wilayah Nusantara dan juga ke luar negeri seperti ke Malaysia. Makalah ini membahas tentang bagaimana orang Minangkabau mengambil keputusan kenapa mereka meninggalkan daerah asalnya untuk bermigrasi keluar daerah mereka. Pembahasan dalam tulisan ini akan menekankan proses migrasi dan strategi komunikasi antar budaya di tempat tujuan dalam rangka mereka menyesuaikan diri dengan orang orang dari suku bangsa/budaya di tempat mereka tinggal. Orang Minangkabau adalah penduduk yang mudah bergaul dan mereka bisa berkomunikasi dengan orang dari suku bangsa lain secara mudah
