Grup WhatsApp Sebagai Wadah Komunikasi Ibu-Ibu di Era Digital
Abstract
Currently, a WhatsApp Group that can be used by mothers in the digital era as a forum for discussion when getting various information from the internet. Therefore, this research was conducted to examine how the themes, roles, and discussion patterns in Whatsapp Group when used by new parents. This study uses a type of qualitative research. Research which includes gathering a wide variety of empirical data from research subjects (forms of communication of young mothers in the group). Then the data is analyzed to get an understanding of the subject of the study at hand. The results of this study include: themes that often-become discussions in are about maternal and child health, immunization, advice and support from all members, family planning, breastfeeding, labor costs, and parenting.

ABSTRAK
Saat ini grup WhatsApp yang dimanfaatkan bagi ibu-ibu di era digital sebagai wadah untuk diskusi ketika mendapatkan berbagai informasi dari internet. Oleh karenanya penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mencermati tema, peran, dan pola diskusi dalam Grup Whatsapp ketika digunakan oleh orang tua baru. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian yang meliputi pengumpulan beraneka ragam data empiris dari subjek penelitian (bentuk komunikasi ibu-ibu muda dalam grup). Kemudian data tersebut dianalisis untuk mendapatkan pemahaman tentang subjek kajian yang dihadapi. Hasil dari penelitian ini di antaranya: tema yang sering jadi pembahasan adalah seputar kesehatan ibu dan anak, imunisasi, saran dan dukungan dari semua anggota, KB, ASI, biaya persalinan, dan pola asuh.
