Abstract

Social media have a significant role for personal branding purpose or bigger aim such as company branding. The social media which has the highest number of users in Indonesia is Instragram. Educational institution is one of the part that uses instagram to inform their activities  to be a  digital promotion. Dian Nuswantoro University is the 3rd best Universities in Indonesia that has used Instagram with the account @Udinus_smg since 2016. The purpose of this  research is to describe the reflection of the image carried out by Dian Nuswantoro University  in the account @ Udinus_smg in the year of 2017 and 2018. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive with content analysis method The results of  the research shows there are 202 contents in 2017 and 351 contents in 2018. Based on the image dimension, 2017 content contains more image dimensions than in 2018.  Domination of the image dimension that appears in the @udinus_smg account for the relationship level are 201 contents in 2017 and 74 contents in 2018. Recommendation for further research is to conduct review about followers and Instagram content or semiotic analysis related to content that exists for a certain period.
